Upcoming Community Service Programs for Children
Tabletop Smiles Community Service Project (Grades 3-5)
Wed. Apr. 8, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Join us to make placemats filled with color, creativity and kindness for people receiving
meals from local charities and organizations. Come spread joy – one placemat at a time!
Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register starting 3/25.
Volunteer at Hobbs Farm (Bethel Hobbs Farm, Centereach) for Community
Service (Grades 3-5)
Fri. Apr. 10, 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Kids will help with various farm tasks such as weeding beds, planting seeds, and
picking produce. Dress for a mess and for the weather! Participants will earn two hours
of community service credit. In the event of extreme weather, this program may be
rescheduled or cancelled. Please note this program is offsite and
parents/caregivers (over the age of 18) must stay with their child at the farm. Click here to register starting 3/27
Congratulations Cards for Preschool Graduates Community Service Project
(Grades 3-5)
Wed. Apr. 22, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Celebrate our littlest graduates with creativity! Kids will design bright and cheerful
congratulations cards for local preschoolers moving up to kindergarten. It’s a fun way to
spread smiles and celebrate big milestones! Click here to register starting 4/8.
Take & Make: SRC Dinosaur Art Project (Grades 3 – 5)
Monday, May 11
Get ready to roar with creativity! Kids will design colorful dinosaurs on canvas, creating awesome dino masterpieces that will help decorate our library for the Summer Reading Challenge. Pick up your art kit starting on Mon., May 11 and return your creative work of art by Tue., May 26. Participants will earn two hours of community service credit. Only one kit per child. Letters to Our Troops (Grades 3 – 5)
Wednesday, May 13, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Join us to write and decorate heartwarming letters to be included in care packages for deployed troops. Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register starting 4/29.
Decorated Notebooks (Grades 3 – 5)
Tuesday, May 26, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Get creative for a great cause! Kids will decorate fun, colorful notebooks that will be donated to local organizations. Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register starting 5/12

Washi Tape Bookmarks for Senior Citizens (Grades 3 – 5)
Wednesday, June 3, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Join us to make colorful, decorated bookmarks for our “Senior Bus” patrons. It’s a simple, creative way to bring smiles and brighten someone’s day! Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register starting 5/20
