It’s Photo Shoot time for our Summer Reading Club 2021: “Tails and Tales!”
It’s that time of year to take photos of the kids for our Summer Reading Club decorations. This year there is a twist, we are asking that you take the photos of your child and we will transform them. Every year it is such a treat to see photos of the children all around the children’s library.
Kids Bookmark Contest!
2024 marks the 9th year of the beloved Kids Bookmark Contest at Emma Clark Library! The contest asks children living in the Three Village Central School District from Kindergarten through 6th grade to design original bookmarks for library patrons.
Winners receive the incredible honor of having their bookmarks professionally printed. Community members may then take home a copy of one or more of the winning bookmarks!

Or if you prefer, stop by the Children’s Reference Desk for a copy. There is a limit of 1 entry per child.
The entry deadline is March 30, 2024. Winners will be chosen in three categories (K – 2nd, 3rd & 4th, and 5th & 6th grades) and announced on Wednesday, May 1. All contestants’ entries are displayed in the Children’s Department for visitors to view.
Our Librarians cannot wait to see the all the creative entries!
Last year’s winners (featured in photo) were Nayonika S. (Setauket Elementary) in the grades K – 2 category; Catherine Y. (Minnesauke Elementary) in the grades 3 & 4 category; and Cindy Z. (Minnesauke Elementary) in the grades 5 & 6 category.

September “Take and Make” for Kids
We provide the supplies & instructions, you pick them up and create at home! For children ages 3 years and up (some supervision may be needed for younger children). *Information on how to get supplies below.

*To request a DIY kit, send an email to osullivanp@emmaclark.org. Put “Take & Make Registration” in the subject line. Please include your child’s full name, age, phone number, & library card number. Ms. Patti will tell you when and how you can pick up the supplies.
Supplies are limited! Please register early to reserve your “Take and Make” craft kit!

DIY Story Time @Home
Have fun with our latest “Take & Make craft” and then print your story time plan which includes books, rhymes, and activities. Recommended for ages 3 – 5 years.
